JBIR-37 and -38, novel glycosyl benzenediols, isolated from the sponge-derived fungus, Acremonium sp. SpF080624G1f01.
In the course of our chemical screening program for new secondary metabolites, we isolated new compounds JBIR-37 (1) and -38 (2) from a culture broth of the marine sponge-derived fungus, Acremonium sp. SpF080624G1f01. The structures of 1 and 2 were determined to be di- and mono-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy-4-(1,1-dimethyl-2-propenyl)benzene on the basis of extensive NMR and MS spectroscopic data,...

In the course of our chemical screening program for novel metabolites by LC-MS monitoring, we isolated a new aspochracin derivative, JBIR-15 (1), together with aspochracin, from the culture broth of a sponge-derived fungus, Aspergillus sclerotiorum Huber Sp080903f04. The structure of 1 was determined to be N-demethyl aspochracin at the alanyl residue on the basis of extensive NMR and MS analyses.
متن کاملStereochemical Assignment of the Protein–Protein Interaction Inhibitor JBIR‐22 by Total Synthesis†
Recent reports have highlighted the biological activity associated with a subfamily of the tetramic acid class of natural products. Despite the fact that members of this subfamily act as protein-protein interaction inhibitors that are of relevance to proteasome assembly, no synthetic work has been reported. This may be due to the fact that this subfamily contains an unnatural 4,4-disubstitued g...
متن کاملPleiotropic control of secondary metabolism and morphological development by KsbC, a butyrolactone autoregulator receptor homologue in Kitasatospora setae.
The γ-butyrolactone autoregulator signaling cascades have been shown to control secondary metabolism and/or morphological development among many Streptomyces species. However, the conservation and variation of the regulatory systems among actinomycetes remain to be clarified. The genome sequence of Kitasatospora setae, which also belongs to the family Streptomycetaceae containing the genus Stre...
متن کاملTwo new isoquinolone Alkaloids from Sauropus hirsutus
Sauropus androgynus (Euphorbiaceae) is a popular vegetable in Thailand. In 1995, the plant was associated with several cases of poisoning when used in a Taiwanese weight control method and the toxicity was attributed to its alkaloid content. We have therefore investigated a closely related Sauropus species, S. hirsutus. Extraction and isolation of chemical constituents from the aerial part of S...
